Introducing Walk Score to www.HeatherLord.com

I am so jazzed to let everyone know that I have added the Walk Score application to my Property Search Program.... This tool provides a  great way to determine the accessibility of local shops, restaurants, schools etc. to a specific address.

 

 Finding the Perfect Home - So much more than just a structure:

 When you purchase a new home - you buy so much more than a structure - you are buying into the neighborhood, the amenities, the school district, in short a lifestyle... and this new application is just another tool to help prospective homeowners find the perfect home.

It is my personal experience that home buyers want to know their proximity to daily conveniences. In particular, prospective home buyers from outside the local Charleston area frequently ask questions such as: "Heather, how far away is the closest Target store?" or "Do you know if there is a Dog Park within a reasonable distance from the house? 

What is Walk Score exactly?

The application actually shows you a map of what is nearby and then calculates a Walk Score for any address... the higher the score the closer the address is located to a variety of amenities/services etc. The application combines the power of Google Maps with GIS technology; it is an independent 3^rd party assessment of the proximity of nearby amenities.
